ABOUT US
Growing Tree Day Center is a loving faith-based family daycare home located on the westside of Jacksonville. On a daily basis we explore a ride range of fun and exciting topics. Our program uses the Gee Whiz curriculum to provide a well-rounded interactive lesson plan in a safe and healthy environment. We believe in challenging the minds of little explorers in every way possible. Therefore, we include additional areas of exploration in our curriculum including gardening, baking, music, math, phonics and social emotional interactions. Growing Tree believes that children learn by getting involved! They learn by playing, experimenting, exploring and testing. Learning is meant to be a natural, HAPPY experience.
Meet Ms. Val
Hello, my name is Ms. Val, and I am the owner of Growing Tree Day Center and your little learner's new teacher. I have a Certified Child Development Associate Certification with a specialty n Early Childhood Education and have a degree in Early Childhood Management. I also am a Registered Behavioral Technician.
With over 10 years of experience, I find that every single day, I learn something new that I can apply to my teaching methods to ensure our students receive the best care possible. Here, we are all about learning, growing and playing.
I believe in creating a warm and supportive space where children can feel safe to express themselves, ask questions, and develop important social and emotional skills. I’m also a big believer in making learning fun! Whether we’re singing, playing, or getting messy with art projects, I want each day to be full of smiles and opportunities for exploration.
